Baked Cinnamon Apples

Served warm or cold, this dish is a wonderful dessert or breakfast option, especially on a cozy autumn or winter day. Feel free to serve alongside your favorite vanilla ice cream, topped with whipped cream, or drizzled with warm, full-fat coconut milk.


4 Red Delicious apples (or a sweet apple of your choice)

½ cup walnut pieces

1 tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp nutmeg

¼ tsp ground ginger

1/8 tsp ground cloves


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Core and chop apples. Combine in a bowl with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  3. Add ½ cup water to a glass, 9x9 inch baking dish. Place apples in the dish. Top with walnuts.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until apples are soft.
